Super Sports 100: Advanced Finish

The SS100 NPC takes its name from Nickel Phosphate electro-deposition, a surface treatment first developed to protect aerospace engine components. Applied to selected chassis and engine parts, it gives a subtle golden hue that sits alongside the titanium and recalls the nickel-plated tanks of the 1920s.

Brough’s First Genius, Refinished

The Super Sports 100 first appeared in 1924 and became the machine most closely associated with T.E. Lawrence. The modern SS100 keeps its classic proportions and George Brough’s original engineering ethos, and each one is handcrafted to order for its owner in Brough Superior’s French workshop.

The NPC adds a finish with its origins in aerospace. Nickel Phosphate electro-deposition was developed to protect reactor and rocket engine components. The coating is extremely fine; it hardens and shields each part while giving it a subtle golden hue. A considered selection of the SS100’s signature chassis and engine components carry the treatment. It’s warm grey sits naturally beside the titanium, and its golden reflections recall the nickel-plated fuel tanks of the 1920s, before chrome became the standard.
